Description - Step 1

Step 1: Prepare the Batter

Start by cleaning the samak rice. Then wash it and soak it in water for two hours. Drain the excess water from the rice and transfer the rice to a mixer grinder. Start grinding the rice, adding water gradually as required, to get a smooth paste. Take the paste out of the bowl and mix it with singhara flour. If your batter becomes too thick, add water to it to make a smooth, pourable dosa batter. Season the batter with rock salt, green coriander, and black pepper, and mix it well. Now cover the batter and let it rest for 10–15 minutes so that it puffs up a little.
